We’re on our way! And we are greatly blessed to be able to have this adventure!
We left home last Wednesday afternoon and camped at Marathon Park in Wausau, Wisconsin. We had a great dinner with my son and John went to his meeting early Thursday morning. We spent the evening with my mom and sister in Clinton, Iowa and had a nice time. It will be April before we see them again.
Then,…we were officially on our way!!! After a couple of days of driving, one stop was in Ogallala, Nebraska. Our Colorado gang always camps with their families at Lake McConaughy, so we thought we’d better go check it out! What a beautiful reservoir! The lake is huge! Campers camp right on the beach. We’ve been told by some certain family members that it takes a big tractor in order to pull them onto the beach and off! I believe it, as John decided we should drive on the beach in the Colorado pick-up. Oh boy…it’s a good thing we had 4-wheel drive! Following are some pictures.

There is a truck driving in shallow water back from the island, that you can’t see! The lake is unusually low, so they were able to drive across.

Lucky is quite the traveler!! He has sat next to me for hundreds of miles! He got sleepy the other day and his head was bobbing!! So cute!!

Our trip has gone very well so far! I even survived the up and down mountains today, coming across Wyoming into Salt Lake City!! The view was breathtaking!

We are in Salt Lake City, Utah for a couple of days. We’re taking a tour of the city tomorrow. We’re looking forward to seeing the Mormon Tabernacle and other sites and to share them with everyone!
We are taking our time and enjoying our new adventure!
